Bio

Toby Manler (b. 1997) is a French artist based in Paris. Coming from a family of artists—spanning the visual arts, music, and haute couture—he grew up in an environment where creativity played a central role. As a child, he devoted much of his time to drawing before studying fine arts for four years.

After an initial career in marketing—where he developed, in particular, an understanding of the symbolism of colors and their influence on emotions—Toby chose to devote himself fully to his artistic practice.

His work explores light, chromatic transitions, and color gradients through abstract painting in which color becomes a language in its own right. Inspired by emotions and sensations, his works seek to create an immersive visual experience, inviting the viewer to slow down and let themselves be absorbed.

Each color is selected and each transition constructed with great precision, in an almost mathematical pursuit of depth, balance, and emotional resonance. Blending technical mastery with sensitive perception, Toby has developed a practice in which light, color, and silence open up a space for contemplation and personal interpretation.
